“Southern Elegance,” the Sea Island Quilters beautiful raffle quilt is in tribute to and in loving memory of its maker, Joanne Moss. A valued guild member for many years, Joanne passed away shortly before the 2023 Southern Comforts Quilt Show. The quilt was acquired from her husband.
Joanne was a talented needle woman who put love in every stitch. Each petal, stem, and leaf is precisely placed, then hand appliquéd. The quilt was professionally machine quilted by someone who Joanne trusted with her lovely handwork.
The person who takes home this quilt will own a treasured heirloom created by a multi-award winning quiltmaker and a beloved friend of the Sea Island Quilters.
